The thought of writing this post had been lingering around in my mind since the second year of college. It's just like one of those expectation v/s reality memes that you find all over the internet. It all started when I was 6 and used to watch cartoons, I always drew the stuff I used to watch. right from Mickey Mouse to Tweety and Buggs Bunny. When I turned eight, India began to air anime like Dragonball, Pokemon, and Card Captor Sakura. That is when my love for art grew even more. I always thought how fun it would have been creating stuff like characters. Until I graduated school, art had always been a hobby. I had it kept in my mind that I'd be studying art or animation someday in life. Keeping that in Mind, I got into this university. Art is something that receives both praises and criticisms. The comments are never always good or always bad. Usually, mentors tend to shower the students with a lot of constructive criticisms. Those are negative feedbacks with a pathway for improvement. I always draw, mostly fan art or just doodles. And I draw those when I feel like and also draw how I feel. After spending 4 years in an Art college, I have realised that our imagination and creativity have to be caged to suit our mentor's feelings. Not forgetting deadlines! Time is a devil, causing too many problems always. Deadlines were never a problem until the last two years. The years when our thoughts were limited to only to suit certain criteria. I began thinking about this when one of my professors told me that I was not suited for the course I am studying. I thought what the reason behind that would have been. It had to be my work. . . Maybe I worked differently when I am under pressure? or maybe I am not putting in much heart or soul? I am only mentioning all of this because I have come to realise that my feelings towards art as a hobby and a subject have been very different. Not saying that I hate either, but the surroundings tend to change the quality of work and also your feelings towards it. I have done an internship at a comic house, and that also had deadlines. But working there was another experience overall. The work I delivered there was very different from what I have been doing here. I thought if it was because I did something I liked, but I always chose that pathway even in my assignments. I won't even blame time constraints because that is a default setting that comes with assignments. It is the kind of feedback one gets that affects their working style.
I've had an interest in art since a very young age. My mother is a very passionate artist and used to draw and paint a lot when I was a kid. Watching her do that had me develop a passion towards art as well. It's not particularly only that, but art as a whole has helped me a lot by carving me into a different person from what I used to be back in school.
Around in 2004, the time when I got limited access to the wired internet at our house, I began reading manga. Manga made me draw more, it taught me proportions and various expressions a character could have. That is what made me have a dream, of being a comic artist.
After spending two years in the college, I was confused. Never had I imagined that I would feel differently towards something I love.
It was true! Even in school, I always studied my textbooks at my own pace. I thought of them as interesting stuff that can be used somewhere in life. Sadly, the feeling did not last anytime after middle school due to the teachers that taught me.
Do all of you who study in the creative field feel this way too? Please share it with me ~
I shall end this post here to not make it boring ~
Anyway, I'm currently busy with my final year projects so I guess I'll be venting out frequently here.
Another day of my semester break and I decided to make another visit to the Innisfree outlet with my sister. I had the thoughts of purchasing the Essence and Mist for the Jeju Sparkling Mineral line , but I really did not need them at this point. (also I was really broke)
I majorly spend money only on products either for my hair or my skin, so I purchased the Innisfree Camellia Essential Hair Oil Serum.
I have mostly used the L'oreal serum before this and my hair has been in good shape thanks to that product, but Innisfree has quite a line of promising products so I decided to get this.
The packaging is really pretty as it's all shades of red and the bottle is also quite sturdy plastic bottle with a cap for the nozzle.
The serum's quite thick and smells quite similar smelling to hibiscus. (this is actually my first time experiencing the fragrance of camellia)
I am not sure if I've mentioned earlier that one of my pet peeves is touching something oily, greasy or extremely silky. (which I find quite strange. . but I'm trying to get over it)
Most serums I've used were super sticky and still remained on my palm after having applied onto my hair.
However, this one was not that sticky and it kept my hair soft for a really long time.
I usually apply serum when my hair is damp.
For best use, apply it after towel-drying your hair because applying it when wet will just be useless and applying it on dry hair makes it sticky~
So, I give this product a 4.5/5 !
Next up is B-Blunt's Anti Frizz Climate Control Hair Cream.
Special shoutout to the store attendant of the place where I bought it from, because she recommended me this product.
I've tried a bunch of hair creams before and experimented with my short hair.
(Let's thank the Lord for not having me gone completely bald even after the torture)
This product looks very cool; it's a long black bottle. The cream smells quite nice, but I was still skeptical about having used it.
To be honest, I had never heard of these products before expect for the salon name that my friends kept telling me about.
I tried this product several times on damp hair, but it only made my hair sticky and EXTREMELY DRY after a while. (Does not suit the Indian weather this way)
But then, after having used the hair straightener to style short hair. . the texture of my hair was quite smooth and the hair was set nicely for the entire day!
This product makes the hair quite sticky, but I guess the results make it up~
I'd give this a 3.5/5! (maybe my opinions about it will change later)
Would Only recommend the products to people with short hair ~ (I'm just Kidding)
It works magically on long hair too!
That's it and I wrap up with this cute video I came across yesterday
After hearing that there was an Innisfree outlet in Mumbai , I always wanted to make a visit to the store. After lots and lots of crashed plans , I was finally able to get to the store.
For those of you who don't know , Innisfree is a South Korean Cosmetic and Skincare brand and quite famous for their range of nature-oriented (the green-tea serum series was quite a hit tbh)
The store wasn't really big and there weren't many people inside and it just gives out the same vibes that your friendly neighbourhood Body-Shop would give. There were two attendants in the store and like I mentioned , It wasn't really big but a tiny store. The store had a pretty wide range of products and a huge variety of sheet masks (which was my major purpose of going there).
I bought 5 sheet masks and a Jeju Sparkling Mineral cream (moisturiser for my dry skin on the face). I wanted to purchase a set of the toner and face wash as well , but I had insufficient funds. TT
I was quite happy with how much I was able to get in the amount I spent on the stuff bought.
Plus they gave us freebies and a membership card as well. I am not quite acquainted with how stuff like this is written , so all you beauty bloggers reading this please be nice and don't bash.
Little Suga is here to model for me ~
After I came back , my phone was dying so here are a few pictures I was able to take.
Not sure how clear it is , but this is a photo of the entire lot that I bought (plus the freebies)
L to R - The welcome kit and a sunblock with samples of the green tea series , 5 sheet masks and another welcome pack with three sleeping mask tubes and the jejusparkling mineral cream & finally the card in the middle
This is the Jeju Sparkling Mineral Cream from the Jeju Sparkling Mineral range. I decided to go with only the moisturiser for now not only for the insufficient funds but also because I was comfortable using my current face wash and toner. (If this product works out , I might purchase the toner as well.)
This is a very cute looking 50ml (bottle or whatever you'd call it) that was for 1900INR which you could say is $29?
Love the colour of the bottle , it's pretty
Obviously this procedure would feel a bit incomplete because I only go in the procedure of cleansing - Toner - lotion / cream .. but here on the package , it goes from applying liquids to the lotions ..Cleanser - Toner - Essence - Lotion - Cream in order to have a better effect on the skin.
Ah, I really wanted to buy the toner but I couldn't spend a lot on it either.
Overall , the cream has a very refreshing feel to it. You'd mistake it for some citrus-product or you could also say it has that Ocean-like refreshing smell.
This product contains 69.9% Onsen-Sui (the sparkling water from the springs of Jeju) which gives deep hydration.
I don't usually blog about the things this side , but I'm really into skincare and stuff.
My skin is not the type to handle much of cosmetics or creams of any kind including moisturisers. I have a really dry skin and it tends to get red patches (allergies) or rashes after trying any cream or makeup on.
Normally during the hot weather, I sweat a lot and any sort of cream or lotion that is applied onto my face gets washed off because of the sweat. So I haven't been doing any skin routine lately.
Considering all of the above-mentioned problems , I had a huge problem deciding whether to buy the cream or to not. I applied a bit onto my face when the store assistant let me try some.
The cream felt light and a bit sticky (all moisturisers give that feel on my skin) but it did not feel like what the other moisturisers felt when I sweat. (that feeling when your sweat and the moisturiser have a fight of who wants to stay on the skin..not good at explaining but I hope you understood)
This cream also didn't spread much after I was sweating , It stayed on the face until I got home. Definitely, one of the creams I'd go for!
Then , to the sheet masks that I bought. I bought the Bamboo , Green Tea , Tea Tree , Cucumber and the Shea Butter one.
These sheet masks actually cost a lot lesser in store than what it would be priced online. They could be of great help during the hot weather.
Earlier , I wasn't sure if the sheet mask was reusable but then I guess they aren't. Kind of disappointing for something to cost 100INR to be able to use only once.
If these are good , I shall spend more on these for sure.
Now , The freebies that i got along with the above purchases I made. Firstly ,we received a sample leaflet pack of the Green Tea seed range serum and cream along with a tiny sunblock cream tube. (my friend also received it)
And they gave me a welcome pack for a purchase over 2000INR which contained a small box called " Good night for Good Day - sleeping pack collection" this box has three small tubes for the three different kinds of sleeping packs. Wine Jelly , Aloe Vera and Green Tea sleeping pack. I've barely used overnight face packs because I'm scared that it will be all over my pillow or bed by the time I am awake lol. This is a good reason for me to try it!
L to R - Aloe Vera , Green Tea and Wine Jelly
Then the third package called "best-loved collection" which probably explains to you that these product samples in the package are the most loved ones. This had the Jeju super volcanic Clay pore mask and the Orchid enriched cream and then another sample for Green tea seed serum (this time in a tiny tube).
The Jeju Volcanic Clay Pore is made from minerals released by volcanic explosions in Jeju. (wow wth) Having it shrink pores , remove sebum and deep cleanse and cool the skin. I've been hearing a lot of good reviews about my friend who have used / are using this product so I am looking forward to trying out the sample ~
While the Orchid Enriched cream is an anti-aging cream. (this was the product that appeared the most after the green tea seed range products while working on my assignments)
You Can't really see the Green Tea Seed Serum back there but that's the thing
I might be drifting away from the topic, but I recently chose Innisfree as a brand for studying for an assignment that i did in my previous semester , And you must watch their commercials for the Jeju Volcanic Clay Pore series. . . the animation is pretty cool~!
The last of all freebies (well not freebies in this case) I also received a membership card from the store. This can be used in any outlets within India.
looks pretty cool
I would love to visit this place again!!
The location of the store is pretty far from home but I really hope to get some stuff before I leave back for the final semester
The sheet masks are quite cheap and reliable , considering I've already tried the green tea one!
It was very refreshing and my skin did not sting like it normally does when I put anything at all on it. The moisturiser doesn't make my skin feel itchy at all. I hope this continues to be the same HAHA
Overall the visit to the store was great ~
I wanna buy more stuff T.T
If you guys have any recommendations, please leave a comment below
So I am back with Part 2, for the JJCC Concert Diary!
I only decided to write part 2 because it was a bit lengthy if I would have written it in the same post.
Anyway , I'll start from where I ended ...
After the Q&A that JJCC did , I definitely had an idea of what was coming forth.
There were three chairs put onto the stage , spaced out equally and the members walked out holding flowers. (internal screams)
So, they finally called the three lucky winners onto the stage and then had us sit onto those chairs. I was shaking, I'm not even joking right now. Even now , I feel chills by my spine.
Like... It was real! Everything happening around me was real!
Soon when we walked onto stage , they asked us to get our cellphones. I was already carrying mine , so i did not have to walk all the way down again. (lazy panda on a roll)
So Eddy walked up to all of us , handed us red envelopes and asked who our biases were and it started from my friend who said that her bias was E,co. After that, I freaked out cause it was my turn and I fumbled while I said E.co and Zica. Eddy probably did not hear me saying E.co , so he called out Zica and he moved to my side. The third girl who was to the right of me picked Eddy.
I got startled a bit when Zica got onto my side and said "Thank You for picking me", His English was actually so good and he was adorable too!

Zica singing tome while me dumbstruck af Sancheong looks lonely -hugs-

CREDITS TO NitzHo on YouTube (Thank You so much mate!)
I awkwardly smiled at him back and then they prepared themselves and us for a special stage and I internally died when the song happened to be "BE GOOD" (my fav song)
Zica was so adorable omg , especially when he asked me to give him my phone by saying "Open your camera? Selfie?" And he took two cute pictures from my phone. My phone kept locking itself up and he was so done with it that I legit had to tell him my phone passcode. (Yus People! The first idol to actually know my phone passcode!)
Please DO NOT REPOST it anywhere
I awkwardly put B612 on by not thinking that the videos were put to only 3 seconds (BAH such a fool I am) This cutie took a video while he was singing and then he asked me for a selfie.
I have a problem of sweating too much and that too through my hair , so I told him that my hair is bad and Man... his answer had me die internally!
He said "Oh really? I think it look good!" and I almost cried thanking him -dies-
I actualy smiled for this one picture and it was worth it
I kind of felt bad cause I was being very Zica-centred throughout the performance but then , I honestly couldn't process anything on stage at that time. I look super blank in my photos too ~
Yul and Sancheong were too far for my phone camera to see them clearly and Eddy also moved a bit further later on (sad ;-;)
Simba then came and sat between my friend and I and I swear that cutie was about to derp for a picture and then it landed being like this. (told you I can be a degree holder in photography .also sarcasm)
Then , during E.co's rap part, He sat in between my friend and I and He even posed for a picture !
Honestly , I can rap to all of JJCC's rap parts but I was so dumbstruck here that I was internally dying and unable to process anything.
Please DO NOT REPOST it anywhere
And then I filmed a bunch of more videos until the end and I was too overwhelmed to even speak by the time the entire thing got over.
If you'd ask the people who sat next to me , I looked like a snowman or a scarecrow literally standing still and frozen.
After the special stage got over, they did two final performances of their official 7 member song "Where You At?" and then "Fire" which literally got us on our feet and screaming our voices out.
The last performance for Fire literally caught the roof on fire!
And then , it was time for the actual ticket perks. They had a slight change on that day due to some reasons but it was announced that we would be having a fansign event and I was so hyped! We were also going to be having a Photograph each with the group (for the ticket type I bought)
It was a long time waiting for our turn because they had the Hi-Touch Event for the other ticket types and then the lucky winners there had a chance to take a selfie with their biases.
In the meanwhile I was fooling around on my phone and I also nearly faceplanted once by tripping on my own backpack.
After waiting for a while I finally got into the line for the sign event. We were asked to write our names onto a piece of paper and I wrote mine on my ticket and waited for my turn. As soon as it was my turn , I walked over to Eddy who was the first one and he wrote my name on the CD cover.
I then thanked him for the day and told him that the game was super fun. He recognised me from the game and thanked me for coming too. (i guess he was a bit tired then)
And then, the next one to go was SanCheong. He read out my name and then he flipped to the last page to look at the photocard I got (which was Yul's) and he pretended to sulk. I then told him in Korean that It was fun today and thanks for coming to India, to which he responded with a nod and a smile. (I basically said that to all the members)
Next was Simba , OMG Cutie Patootie! He stared right at me and then read out my name loud and right after I thanked him, He made this cute beatbox DJ Scratch (ft SanCheong) with my name in it. I was soooo hyped omg.
The next to go was E.Co who said Hello to me and recognised me as the lucky winner again. This time one of the event people told them that i worked on a fanart for a project for them (I cant share it due to it being confidential I am sorry) And E.Co said that he had seen it and it was good.
Honestly , I have never felt this good about myself while drawing and receiving a compliment from one of my bias group means a lot to me. He also complimented my Korean and I think he was a really really nice person.
Next was Yul , who firstly thanked me for the fanart project thingy and said that he appreciates it. I also thanked him by speaking in Korean and said JJCC jjang! (best / cool / awesome) which he actually wrote below his signature! I then bowed to him and moved onto the last , the bias who won my heart during the day .. Zica.
We greeted each other awkwardly and I thanked him for today and the special stage and I told him that he was really cool on stage and he has a great voice , to which he responded back in English and I was almost gonna burst in tears cause I was overwhelmed so I asked if i could shake hands with him and he did. I bowed to him as well and left to wait for the photograph.
After waiting for some more time , we waited in a line for the photograph. This was the time when my friend and I decided to take selfies while were waiting cause we both were wearing Mickey Mouse tops.
So finally it was my turn after a while and when I walked onto stage , my awkwardness made me forget to hand over the bag to the volunteer causing me to say "Oh Bag!" and one of the members laughing.
As soon as I walked onto the stage for real , the members (esp. Simba) began saying "Mickey Mouseee" and I was almost gonna laugh but I had to keep a proper face for the photo so , I stifled it.
I took the flower that Zica gave had given to me during the special stage as a prop (to cover my face basically)
And I stood between Yul and Zica!
The photo had to be taken twice because my phone is just plain stupid when I praise it a lot.
After the photo was done , I shook hands with Zica , Yul and E.co again and I left
Here's the group picture that I am gonna treasure for my entire life.
Panda / Potato-ing in between a group of idols (feels like a Manga)
After I walked out of the venue , I was too overwhelmed to even talk to anyone. My friends were so much more excited than I was when I walked out of the venue. They probably guessed that i was internally dying so they let me rest for a while, while waiting to wave JJCC bye while they left.
I then called my parents when I was right at the venue and told them everything in a duration of 9 minutes.
My Dad was like "I think you should try to breathe and then tell me everything after the event actually ends"
So the saddest part of this entire event was now here when JJCC walked back from the concert hall to the bus while all their fans waving them bye
(i shall upload a video of it later)
And while we waved them all bye , E.Co filmed it through his phone from the bus and he also dropped it. (feels this cause I drop my phone on a daily basis)
So after the bus left , We all left with a heavy heart and great memories made from the day.
I have decided that I am definitely going to go visit them for their for their events in Korea or Japan if it is during the time I plan to visit those two countries.
So That was my entire concert report in two parts and a wrap up of a great memory of my very first ever concert. Thank You to the event people PinkBoxEvents and JJCC for having us make great memories.
I wish JJCC good luck for their future activities and I will always be rooting for them.
Also , Please get Prince along next time!
ALSO GUYS Do you remember the Chibi Fanart I wrote about!? I gifted it to them and looooooook
It ha been held by Simba!!!!
PLEASE DO NOT REPOST THIS , IT BELONGS TO A FRIEND
I haven't every felt this lucky and had such a wonderful day in the entire 21 years of my life and this is gonna be a precious day and stay in my heart forever! Although my heart breaks to have returned back to Uni and continuing classes and schedule like someone pressed a freaking reset button in my life , but It also motivates me in a way to do well to be able to see more of the people whom I look upto and get inspiration from.
So that was all ~
Thank you for patiently reading through this post
I was actually having chills even while writing this
Before I begin writing anything.. let me apologise for not writing things in an order but you will have an idea of how things are proceeding by.
And then, Let me tell you three things that i suffered from during the concert
1. The I'm ugly syndrome (well.. All pretty fan girls around me and I'm literally a round potato)
2. Awkwardness level 500 (likely to happen)
3. Got hit by a wave of reality that they were real. (I don't know what else I can call it)
It was my third day at Chennai and the city's weather was actually pretty similar to Mumbai.
My friend and I were making fan signs to hold during the concert. Being the tardy person I am , I rushed and landed up making only chibi faces of the members in about two hours and this is what my fan sign looked like.
I took it when it was still Incomplete
I then cut them out so that I could stick it onto the card paper later on at the venue and stuff. After buying the card paper , I kept freaking out about how screwed I was because I still hadn't started to stick anything (which I actually finished later on lol)
The finished product!
So another friend of ours accompanied us and then we reached the venue half an hour early . . .and it was surprisingly full of people. I first went to get my tickets verified and got them along with their signed copy of "Today". And a random photocard which was Yul's. I was excited cause my seat was in the first row and then I had also written my name for the lucky draw in which I would get a chance to play games with them! (Which I totally forgot about) The only sad part about this was that all my friends were in the rows behind and I literally had nobody familiar around me.
Taken After the concert but yeah.
After grabbing the tickets and albums , I hurriedly began sticking the chibis and names onto the card paper. Honestly , if it weren't for my friend who saved my ass... I would've panicked LOL
After struggling and struggling , I managed to finish it within 20minutes (which means lesser waiting..) and there were like 15 more minutes for the gates to be open. Since I was in an oh-so-social mode, I talked to a lot of people who were as excited as me to get into the hall.
Not only because it was hot outside but also of the concert OTL.
So we walked around for the bit until we heard that there were five minutes remaining for the gates to open. After a while when the gates opened , everyone rushed in.
And I , got lost .. So I had to ask the gate attendant for the direction LOL.
As soon as we got in , the seats around me were empty and I was very scared as nobody I knew sat around me ... It got better when I decided to talk to the two fansite girls who were sitting next to me. Man , they had flown all the way from Japan to here!
Jackie Chan's video messages to JJCC and his movie trailer was being played on the screen. There was still time for it to be 3:30pm , the time when the concert started.
Slowly , people started to fill in to the seats and the area around me was filled up.
There were butterflies in my stomach not only because this was my first ever concert , but also for the first row experience.
Meanwhile , I still kept gluing the chibis onto the card paper oops
I almost dropped the glue stick onto my fanart when I saw JJCC's silhouettes walk onto the stage and prepare for the first performance.
The first song they performed was "Today" after which they had their cute introductions and trust me , I couldn't stay still because of the reality that just had hit me ...of them being right in front of me.
Credits as per the Watermark on the photo!
After the intro they performed "Trauma" and then , they performed "빙빙빙 /one way" and "Where is the love" . . .
BING BING BING OOOOOH
I have great Photography skills , I admit it too.
And then they also had a special performance for the Bollywood Bop "Lungi Dance" from the film , Chennai Express and it was ON POINT.
PS: during the first lot of performances sancheong winked at us and E.co gave our side lots of hearts and the members noticed my fan sign several times too ..
(THIS FANCAM IS BY ME AND PLS READ DESCRIPTION BEFORE WATCHING)
Soon after that , the emcee walked onto the stage and announced that its time for the lucky draw for the games. I was still in my seat , struggling to stick the chibis and checking if they're not falling off.
Each of the six members picked two peoples names.
Brilliant Photography , Such Clear ...
The first one to pick the names was Simba, he called out my friend's name so naturally I began to cheer. And then the other members announced the names from the luck draw for their team. I was busy staring at their faces and also sticking my chibis until Eddy opened the chits he'd picked and called out the names. First , he called out my friend's name and then .....he paused for a bit and He called out my name!!!!! I literally dropped my fanart and confirmed if it was me like thrice until the people sitting beside me almost pushed me out of my seat. (My awkwardness made the members laugh ... Part1)
I walked onto stage awkwardly.. my teammate happened to be a very old internet friend of mine. Seriously what fate!
As soon as I walked up onto the stage, I grabbed her arm and stood there.
I am usually very awkward when I talk to people I've met for the first time and all but Eddy happened to be someone I wasn't at all uncomfortable talking to. Maybe it's because he speaks English? I'm not sure haha! But he was so nice. . .
This game was basically like dumb charades. The team had to do 10 elephant spins first and then the members who's teams we were on , would act out animals which we had to guess.
.. Since there were six members, we were divided into half .
The first side was Simba , Zica and Sancheong ... While on our side , there was E.Co , Yul and Eddy (our team).
The winner of the first half was Sancheong's team , who finished it very quickly.
Then , it was our turn. Our team finished the elephant spins fastest so we started off early. It was a bit difficult for me to stand still cause I sprained my leg midway the spins. But then , since it was Eddy who acted out the animals it was super fast for us to guess and we got to the final round versus San Cheong's team.
This time , only the members had to do the elephant spins and we were cheering for Eddy. Eddy was real quick and then he started acting out the animals (this time three of them). My teammate and I were real fast in answering them , having us win the game.
I COULDN'T still believe that we won. Perfect teamwork. . . Eddy gave us both high fives and then we were told that our names will be called out after the other games for the special prize ... Which we had no idea of.
The second game was the three legged race and it was even more exciting cause it had my favourite thing , popping balloons.
All the members picked the names (this time only one person each member). It was Yul's turn when he picked a name which happened to be a similar name for two people. But then it happened to be a different person so she got a hug from Yul. (Lucky!!)
Man , Yul was like a flash in this game. I swear! His teammate and he were too fast.
Poor Sancheong already was sulking cause of both of the games 😂😂😂
Soon after the game got over , it was the last round of lucky draw which was the Q&As. The members picked questions for themselves. There were a few questions that I remembered out of which one was "which member would you date as a girl?" and E.Co had such a hard time choosing the members, haha , Finally he chose Simba saying that he's a fun person to be with. . . Simba's reaction was the best, though. He legit ran around the stage saying YAAAAAAAAAAAY
The best part was when E.co legit ran to a fan cause they weren't able to comprehend a question ah ah!
E.Co: Simba, I choose you!
Simba: Cannot believe it , so runs around the stage
Basically captured a historic moment of a range of expressions when someone screamed in a very alto(?)
So , I would be updating more in Part 2 when I get time so for now this is all!
So I recently purchased a bunch of KNK and VIXX albums, with which I decided to try these out!
I came across certain products under the SUM x E-MART section.
(SUM mart and Cafe is owned by SM entertainment btw)
There were a bunch of other products under this category by the name of SM artists, but I decided to try out this jajjang ramen.
The word Habanero slightly put me off as I am quite unable to eat spicy food T_T However, this being instant noodles and me having been a student living in a dorm was something i could snack on!
It was sad how one of the packets was almost tattered from the top when i received it ... but then I had to open it anyway ~
I hope you guys like this clumsily filmed video and I am thinking of doing more videos like this in future ~
I seemed to have not cooked it properly, but here .. have me talking throughout the video
I just finished my summer Internship at ACK Media / Tinkle Comics today! I worked as a Trainee Intern under the Art department for Tinkle Comics.
Sadly , The journey wasn't long enough but I gained a lot of knowledge and it was a wonderful experience working with someone who made the comics I read as a kid happen,
I worked on small parts for the July Issues 647 and 648. (check out those!)
This post is not really going to be about what work I did , but it is going to be more about my experience over there. A lot of questions were asked to me when I told my friends and family about the following internship. Questions like "Will you get paid?""Why did you not choose something that pays?""Why comic Illustration when you're studying Animation?"
Obviously , everyone prefers something that pays them. . . (well. . money is loved by everyone)
But I chose this because during this summer internship for college , experience was more valuable than money. Plus my area of interest being Comic Art , this Internship played a huge role in it.
One my first day , I was really nervous and scared. Already being poor in communicating with others , I had a lot of problem talking to the people around. First of all , I was very nervous because I was the youngest one in the department that I was a part of. . Being a college student , I am not very used to the fact of calling a mentor by their name. Normally , you'd refer to a Professor as Sir / Teach or something just not their name. But here , I was not open to the fact of calling seniors / mentors by name. Practically, this whole internship period played the role of a starting point to my communication skills. (Hope those communications skills won't die)
One more thing about this experience is that , the environment of the workplace is VERY different from your usual college environment. In college , You'd usually be under the constant stress of your peers and you doing the same work and get worried over the feedback that you would receive from the the professors right? Over here , I was free from that! I got to look at experienced people from their particular field and it was of great help! Besides , getting a feedback here was the most important part.
I take time to open up to people and within this short time period , it was surprising to see myself getting adjusted to an environment. Although I really wished that I stayed there longer because I was just getting adjusted.
There were so many new things that were unfolded in front of me! Right from script writing for a comic to the making of it , Drawing it from scratch. I had never expected to be able to see the making of comics like Suppandi or Shambu in front of my eyes.
Another thing that happened at work was, I got art freedom. I was asked to draw a Single Panel Comic for one of the sections I worked for and it had no restrictions. I was free to think and explore , unlike college work that has our imagination caged at times. Also , my love for Anime , Manga and Korean Webtoons was often questioned by the people at work. They kept asking if I wanted to be a Mangaka after they saw all the anime fanart I had made. There was a point when I wanted to be a Mangaka , but now I am still exploring an art medium and a style of drawing of my own.
This Internship had my hands firmed onto the digital medium. (Not Joking , My hands got firm on the stylus) I also learnt a lot about colour schemes , the colour study and even the process of how the old Amar Chitra Katha comics were made. There was also a chance where I got to talk to a veteran who has an experience of 30 years of colouring comics. Now , you may feel that colouring is just literally colouring the comic in photoshop.. but No! Colouring a comic is far more than just colouring it! It has an entire process~
There were a lot of times where I was frustrated because of the human figure sketches that I had to make until I got actual work. At the end of this internship , I realised that those human figure sketches were the reason why my hand was close to stable on the digital medium. A lot of my peers worked on very huge projects , earning a jackpot load of money. My parents often brought that up, but I feel that this internship was still a very good experience for me on the beginner level. I am glad I got to work for a great place like this!
THE JACKPOT HAS FINALLY HIT MY DOOR (or Dorm .. I must say xD)
The package for Monsta-X's 'Monbebe' 1st Generation Membership that I had bought for my birthday has finally arrived after a LONG wait. I wanted to make a video for it , but I was really in a rush so I just have the pictures. This may seem out of topic, but I really really must mention how DHL does a brilliant delivery.
This entire membership package came inside a box. The box has a tiny slit where you can see your name and your membership number on it. Along with the MX and MB on it~
The colour is very pretty though~ navy blue and red and white (do I see a hidden fandom colour??)
Here's a messy picture of the box , ignore my jeans and socks in the BG
After opening the box , there is the opening for the card along with a cute message that says THANKS FOR MY MONBEBE
This is so cute I am already tearing up.
And here is the main character of the membership package ,the card.
I'm so happy even on the card. (PS: I really love the Design)
The back part of it
Then , we have a message book along with two cards (one being a group photocard and the other is a card used for broadcast and recordings) along with an eco bag and a bottle.
I was holding dem cards here , so .. sorry
TOP- Photocard ; BOTTOM- Broadcast card
The bottle was a plain transparent one , with their logo on it. I don't think I am ever going to have the courage to use that bottle because it's so pretty.
Not clear enough ;;
And here is the Eco-Bag / Mini tote bag. It's pretty and black in colour.
The fabric is HQ and it has the logo MX MB on it again. (I am very scared to use any of these omg)
The last symbol is a fusion of M , X and B making a heart , isn't that cute?
Lastly , The message book that came along with the package. It has cute photos of them with their handwritten messages in it.
I could not really translate any messages but you always have external sources , so do check them out. Also , Please ignore my hand appearing in the pictures.
SO CUTE
WONHO
HYUNGWON (such neat writing)
MINHYUK (the prettiest writing ever)
KIHYUN
JOOHEON
I.M. / Changkyunnie
SHOWNUBEAR
I am very sorry as I was only able to take pictures of the messages and not the photos, but I will upload them later if I can. I really hope they'd have their lightstick out until the 2nd Gen Membership because that would be very cool! For now , this was all.
So I recently bought the Monsta-X Calendar set and I have also done a very clumsy video of the contents in it. This is actually my first time buying an official calendar for a bias group.
I checked out unboxing videos for the iKon one and the BTS one , and then realised why they were priced more than this one. They included stuff like a DVD , poster and more stuff . (the Ikon one was themed).
I had ordered this with a bunch of BTS albums that my friends had ordered and my 24K's second Mini album so the pack came in a pretty tattered condition but thankfully , none of the albums or the contents inside were damaged. (the box for this was damaged a bit)
This package was roughly around $22 and it came with a table calendar and a planner (in the calendar) , A diary planner and 3 postcards.
As a student majoring in Design ,I must say that the calendar is well-designed. There are photos with a mini calendar on one side and a planner on the back side.
The photographs are wonderful . . not too vibrant nor too dull. I really love the pictures for April and the later months!
Plus I am a lover of the pastel tones , so this is a win.
Then comes the planner diary.
The planner diary is very simple. It has a calendar /planner inside and there are the Member's birthdays and the debut anniversary mentioned on the respective pages for their months.
And it's really cute how they haven't mentioned normally but have written it as "Kihyun Day" , "Wonho Day". (excuse my biased-ness)
Other than that there are a bunch of ruled pages and blank pages with around 12 pages of photos.
The three postcards have OT7 on them and they're basically the same pictures from the calendar.
This is actually my first time buying merch like this , and I personally think that this was pretty satisfactory to the amount I paid. Also , I do think I might buy the ones that are released next year!
