Comic Con Post and Mark Gatiss Sign Event!

Hello Everyone!

As you know , I had been for the Mumbai Film & Comic Convention MFCC 2014 and it was a great experience.
Not only am I going to update specifically about the Mark Gatiss Signing event but also the entire convention in short.

So , The whole thing was of three days and I initially had thoughts of not going on one of the days since it would be having very similar events but I was wrong. Firstly my friend and I were very hyped as we would not only be seeing people cosplaying as their favourite manga , anime , tv show or even comic characters but also we would enter a whole new world of new people with similar interests,

The entire venue was pretty small and the first day was empty~
We left really early to be reaching the singing event on time. The crowd seemed a bit faint in the beginning but then people gradually began to swarm up into the venue. I parted from my friend for a while , asking her to wait until my autograph session got over.
I had never imagined in my entire anti-social human being life that I would be able to make any friend by just waiting in a queue for an autograph session. I guess fandoms do bring people together. *cues all my internet buds* Also , the background of the place where we stood was very Who-Lock-ified

So after what nearly seemed like an hour of waiting , We got to see Mark Gatiss. He looked too adorable in the pink shirt he wore that day -laughs-

This is what i could capture through that crowd standing in front of me.

So , It was almost half an hour since I waited for my turn patiently and then we were given tiny post-its to write our names on , so that it could be easier for him to sign over our stuff.
I had somehow managed to make a decent sketch out of the time I had freed for myself in the day before we left for home. I hoped that he would like it!

As soon as I was let onto the panel , I was very nervous when I approached Mark. He seemed very welcoming and even called out my name asking me "So , How are you doing?"

I legit stuttered while I answered him and I told him that I love both the shows. I then could see him chuckle when I handed over the fanart for the signature. (I bet it's because I messed up his nose!!)

I then , nervously asked him for a High Five which he probably misheard to be a hug and said "Nooooo" So I had to repeat the entire thing all over again after which I got a high five !
I walked out of the venue , very star-stricken.

A bunch of my College Friends cosplayed and I saw really really cool ones too!

There was a cosplay duo that had come from Japan and one of them freaking cosplayed as Sasuke from Naruto so professionally that we could not tell if she was a boy or a girl crossplaying.

I will promote a few of them here , but on permission cause I don't like mentioning names on the blog.

There were so many stalls , right from basic art necessities to apparels to action figures and merch and books and manga and what not! The artists' section was something I very keenly looked forward to and I also happened to meet one of my favourite ones!

Other than that , we ran into a couple of stalls that caught my eye.
Like this particular one right here.

Holy Cow!

The overall crowd on the first two days was lesser compared to the last day which is probably the reason because it was a Sunday.
I was surprised at how some stuff from the stalls got sold out on the last day very quickly. (lesson learnt, call dibs on it as soon as you see it)
Plus , I really pity myself for not having learnt the art of shopping at a comic con.

Out of all of these , I managed to buy a Naruto Illustration Book and a Bleach Character book along with two Tokyo Ghoul Keychains and then some free posters and stuff illustrated by artists!

I won't really write much anymore but I guess this was my comic con experience in a nutshell.
Looking forward to the one next year!

Never really thought of cosplaying though -hides-

The Blog's New Name and Comic Con!

Hello!

I am not updating much but I had to update for the new name I had thought for this blog.
The new name for this blog was initially going to be "The life of a spaced out potato" but then I realised that the name would be too strange and it wouldn't be something I would be able to illustrate in the future.

After various combinations of thoughts, I decided to land on to the title "The Daily Writings Of A Confused Soul." 

Well , I am a very spaced out person by nature and mostly confused , so the name suited out of all the combinations I have had.
Another name that I had thought for the blog was , "The outer space diary of my mind" and honestly , I did not know how I would explain the meaning behind it , so I cancelled it. ( the name seems very very vague though)

Also , lately we've all been watching a lot of good films in our Film Studies classes so I have been enjoying different kinds of films and stuff.
I am also very excited for the comic con I would be going to soon. It is in my home city and this is probably the first ever comic con I am going to go for~
The best part of it is , Mark Gatiss is one of the Special Guests for the event and he's going to have an Autograph session and I reeeeeaaaaallllly hope that I get to go for it!
Can't wait for next week at all!

Hellow Again

Hi Guys ,

It's been around a year since I went missing on this blog but I decided to update again as I felt like this is the only way I could relieve my stress.
Well , I am back and barely anything has changed. College is still stressful as ever , just that I am having a break that is making up for some sleep I had lost. And of course , good food from home.

I have lately been losing trust in some people very close to me because of certain things that have happened through the previous semester.
I guess I was wrong about trusting people very easily at all. . .

Dorm life isn't very easy at all LOL

Coming to a brighter side!
Guess who chopped her hair off to short!? My hair was growing in a terrible manner and growing thinner (due to the water and the stress) so I legit asked the hairdresser to chop it out completely.
I'm quite happy with what the result was ~ let me let you have a look
What do you guys think???

Going on an indefinite break

Hello there ,

To all those of you actually making efforts in reading my blog , I thank you so much.

Of course, posting here was a huge stress releasing factor for me but. . 

I would be going on an indefinite hiatus due to my depression, anxiety and health problems.

Plus , college is being so much of a stressor to this so I need to focus on college for now.
I don't know when I will be back but I'm surely gonna be back... 

I will try to post whenever I would be able to . . .

A small update on my College Life

Hey there! i haven't updated in a while!  miss me? (LOL)
Well i did !

So yeah.. basically ... this was my first week in college ... I sort of missed my first five days of orientation so my life has been awkward until now.
I see everyone in groups .. or more than two people roaming around together ~ in the hostel as well as in the campus.
Well.. i do have a few people whom i know ...such as the two of my high school batch mates who know me pretty well than the others here.
Otherwise i am very shy and awkward to go and talk to anyone.
Well... My roomie , We are pretty much getting along well... but yet i am awkward and shy.

Well.. So we had this campus induction programme thing in which we were briefed about the institute and the campus and yeah.

The first few classes were really intense and ... the first two hours of class was literally sharpening a pencil with a freaking cutter LOL.

Also , At the dorm. . .
 I did manage to make a few friends and I keep hanging out with them and stuff ~
Dinner tables at the dorm are fun cause we all keep talking and its really fun hanging out with these guys.

Beginning of A New Life

So this girl called RUKA finally got herself into a college -___-

Well , this would be the first time I would be staying away from home , From parents and from my beloved besties whom I am missing badly right now ... Don't worry I'll keep visiting you guys :)

Also college begins from tomorrow as in the 9th of July.
Which means I would be spending less time fangirling over my fandoms which is actually sad. 

And I won't be able to make covers cause I'm gonna be living with a roommate.

I think the course I have taken up is not gonna be textual :) since it's design!

I'm gonna major in animation after my sophomore year :) 

Well , now I have settled into my room and am using the wifi here and posting this on my blog. (which is pretty evident through this post)

So this is what my college looks like ~

I live in a dorm and it's only for girls . . . I hope I make some friends man.

Also , there is my section for food in the closet ...mainly snacks

And I even had my first midnight snack today.
I didn't eat anything today due to excess of traveling and headache but I drank this orange juice with nata jelly crystals in it and it was really cool.

and also I had some of the rice crackers I bought from the nearby convenience store
they're pretty cool

So well yeah finally I am settled and will begin college from tomorrow.

Into the new world , with a new place , new friends , new experiences waiting forth for me...

I shall do my best and I love you all.

Colours Colours Colours!

Actually I shouldn't be saying Good Morning now because it was already 1pm in the afternoon and i woke up late today ~
Since my bestie came over to my house yesterday ~ she asked me if i could come to her house today so i agreed.

I had fun at my friend's place today :D we chilled out completely ~ we kept on peeking into our Facebook XD and the best part was ... I messaged her on fb saying random things when she was sitting right next to me!

Whaa ~ and the best part of the day was when i bought New Crayons ~
These are imported from Taiwan and they're real smooth and even soluble in water !

My Ultimate Birthday Gift

I just came back from my last Exam ~ It was good but really long as usual..
WAIT... did i just say my last exam... OH YES!! my last freaking final exam :|
I am free until 31st March now :P

So... I want to narrate a really awesome incident that happened today

It was about 15 minutes to to 2 and I was gonna leave for my School. Mom had gone out for some work and there ... she suddenly returns with a Freaking package in her hand :|
I go near the package and see that it has my name on it along with a YESASIA tag and .... on the tag there's written GIFT ITEM ... CD ...



Now, I wondered what CD it possible could be since i hadn't particularly mentioned any to my dad to buy for me or help me buy it...
I tried forgetting it as much as possible on the way to school :P even after my paper got over and i waited for my friends to come out ...this freaking package kept on disturbing my thoughts ;w;
I wrote the whole exam trying to forget about it ~ Thank God! i didn't write any CD or YESASIA in the exam :P

Now... coming back to the point !
I actually RAN back home to see what CD i had received as a gift item in the package.... And as soon as i reached home, i didn't even bother to change XD
and HURRIEDLY opened the package ...but this time like Normal people :P

AND I FREAKING SAW . . . . . .  . . . . . .

U-KISS 3rd ALBUM "COLLAGE" LYING ON MY TABLE !!!!!!

I ... Just couldn't help myself but scream loudly and ....cry... yes ... i cried ;w;

I didn't cry because this is my first K-pop CD or something .... But i cried for the fact that my daddy remembers that i am a BIG fan of U-Kiss and the fact that he bought the CD for me as a birthday gift... that too WITHOUT letting me know even a hint of it ;w;

I LOVE YOU DADDY!!!

I am speechless... I just cant wait to listen to it *^*

Well ~ here's are pictures of the contents of the CD

 The Front cover ~ and the back cover ... Basically its like a sliding cover with a really collage-ed up inner cover ~ if you give a closer look to the inner part of it ~ you can read all the members' names and U-Kiss [currently ...i do not have a picture of it... but i shall soon upload it]

Well Here's the CD :) It has the same kind of pattern as on the inner cover [that is behind it]

 Along with the CD ~ there comes a small banner like poster ~ with all member's pics on it on both the sides ~ But right now , I have taken pics for only one side as the second side has the teaser pics

There also is a Photo Book that comes along with it which is apparently 80-100 pages [i haven't counted .. you know]
